Medical Massage for Veterans
Individualized care in a calm, professional setting.
Care Centered On You
At Jorah Alchemy Medical Massage, veterans receive individualized care focused on their comfort, concerns, and goals.
Each session begins with a conversation about how you're feeling and what you'd like addressed.
Treatment is tailored to your needs, with attention to muscle tension, areas of discomfort, and your comfort with pressure and touch.
Your boundaries matter. You can ask questions, request adjustments, or pause treatment at any time.
Veteran Appointment Questions
How do I book an appointment through the VA?
Start by seeing your doctor to discuss medical massage and obtain a referral. Veterans typically receive a referral through Community Care. Community Care will fax your authorization to us and our office will call to schedule your first appointment. We are experienced in working within the VA's billing and reporting systems.
What should I expect during my first session?
We start with a thorough consultation to discuss your specific medical concerns, service history related to injuries, and personal goals. The massage itself is clinical, focusing on the areas identified during the talk, and you maintain complete control over the environment and pressure.
How should I prepare for the appointment?
Wear comfortable clothing. You don't need to do anything special, but bringing a list of current medications or specific medical notes from your doctor can help us tailor the treatment more effectively to your physiological needs.
What if I have boundary or comfort concerns?
Your safety and peace of mind are our priority. We maintain clear boundaries and open communication. You can request changes to technique, room lighting, or even stop the session at any moment for any reason. We pride ourselves on creating a high-trust, trauma-informed environment.
